Be it project management or IT service management, change is the only constant. However, change means something totally different here in ITSM and ITIL. ITIL defines change as ‘any alteration in the state of a defined configuration item. ‘ What does that mean? Any change to a service component or part that would affect the build, test and implementation of the service/product. It is important to track and review any changes and how they will affect your current product/service before committing to the change.
